
1 – Open a tube of your choice. Duplicate it twice (close the original).
2 – With the selection tool, select a small square within the tube Edit – Copy.
Edit – Paste – Paste as new image. This will become your pattern to put in foreground.
3 – Open a new transparent image, 300 x 300.
4 – Effects – 3D effects – Buttonize : 9/10/100/transparent edge/black color.
5 – Selection – Select all. Selection – Modify – Contract : 20 pixels.
6 – Effects – 3D effects – Buttonize : same setting as in 4.
7 – Selection – Select all. Selection – Modify – Contract : 20 pixels.
8 – Effects – 3D effects – Buttonize : same setting as in 4.
9 – Selection – Select all Selection – Modify – Contract : 20 pixels.
10 – Effects – 3D effects – Buttonize : same setting as in 4. Do not deselect the last square.
11 – Layers – New raster layer. Flood fill with white. Move this layer underneath the rest. Deselect.
12 – Layers, new raster layers. Move this layer under all the others. Flood fill with the pattern you created in step 2.
13 – Effects – Distorsion effects – Spiky halo with these settings :
Horizontal : 0 - Vertical : 0 - Amplitude : 100 - Frequency : 35, Radius : 16 – Check Wrap.
14 – Layers – Merge visible.
15 – Image – Canvas size : 450 x 450.
16 – Layers – Duplicate.
17 – Activate the bottom layer. Image – Rotate – Free rotate : 45 °, uncheck « all layers ».
18 – Paste your tube as a new layer.
19 – Layers – Merge all. File – Export – JPEG optimizer.
