For this tutorial you will need :
A tube
VM Instant art filtre to download here.
A gold texture :
1 Open a new picture, 500 x 500 white background.
2 Effects - VM Instant Art - Lightlines : 95/55/28.
This picture will be used as a mask.
3 Open a new picture, 500 x 500.
Floodfill with a gold texture.
4 Layers New layer mask From image and choose the mask you just created.
Layers Merge group.
5 Adjust Sharpness Sharpen.
Effects 3D effects Drop shadow : 10/10/70/10/Black.
6 Layers New raster layer.
Move it down and floodfill with a dark colour.
The colours brown, rust, burgundy, dark blue or emerald green would give a good effect.
7 Paste your tube as a new layer and apply the same drop shadow as in step 5.
8 Select the text tool. Choose a pretty thick font.
Gold foreground and dark background.
Size 60 and thickness of 2.
9 Enter your text.
Right click and convert to raster layer.
Image Rotate Free rotate 90° to the right, uncheck « all layers ».
10 Layers Merge all.
11 Image Add borders :
2 pixels dark,
5 pixels gold,
2 pixels dark.
12 - File Export JPEG optimizer.
Note : a too high compression will reduce the quality of the gold thread and text.
